SOLID HOSTS ANNUAL TURKEY BOWL, RAISES NEARLY $5K FOR THE ONSITE FOUNDATION
Donation Adds to Music Industry-Based Organization’s Record-Breaking Year
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 5, 2018) - The Society of Leaders In Development (SOLID) continued with their record-breaking year, raising nearly $5,000 at their 33rd Annual Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament for Middle Tennessee-based The Onsite Foundation and donating over 29,000 pounds of food to Second Harvest Food Bank (nearly doubling their 2017 effort of just over 15,000 pounds).
“I’m thrilled by the generosity and enthusiasm for our final Community Outreach event of the year,” said committee co-chair Bailey Lathem. “It was wonderful to see our committee members and Nashville’s music industry come together yet again to make a significant impact for two beloved organizations and end our 2018 year on a high note!”
This year’s Turkey Bowl, held at Vanderbilt University, included participation from eight industry teams: APA, CAA, CMT, FBMM, SMACK Songs, Triple8 Management, Universal and WME.
The donation made to The Onsite Foundation was done in honor of SOLID alum Ryan Huie and the foundation’s Life After Loss program. Located just outside Nashville, The Onsite Foundation offers short- and long-term therapy workshops designed to help individuals and couples experience a breakthrough and discover a better future.
